Profoundly interested in the Chinese and Japanese culture, Qi Gong (exercises for mental and physical health), medecine and martial arts, Shi Heng Dao has trained in many East Asian martial arts; he has also been studying traditional Chinese medicine and is qualified in Chinese Massage – Tuina.
For over 20 years, he has been researching and practicing eastern practical philosophy, Shaolin culture, Qi Gong and Martial Arts. In 2005 he started his teaching career and in 2007 he was honourably given the Shaolin name ‘Shi Heng Dao’(‘Eternal Path’) by his Shaolin Master Shifu Shi Yanzi. In 2008 he founded Shaolin Temple Slovenia, a school he is successfully running until today. In 2012, Shi Heng Dao was invited to teach Shaolin as a head instructor in Shaolin Temple UK – London and has been teaching here for more than 4 years. In Shaolin Temple Slovenia, which currently has two branches in two different cities, and in Shaolin Temple UK he has taught Eastern philosophy, Kung Fu, Qi Gong and meditation to adults and children and he has trained and produced Shaolin Kung Fu and Qi Gong instructors. His teaching in Slovenia and in the UK has consistently received positive feedback by the press and students, mostly for helping and improving the community by changing people’s lives for the better. He has a constant wish to deepen the knowledge of treasury Shaolin legacy and make it useful in as many people’s lifes (for improving their health and happiness) as possible. He keeps this wish as a very important part of his life and as a life mission.
Shi Heng Dao sees Shaolin culture as much more than a martial art; he sees it as a way to a healthier and happier life eventually leading even to the highest enlightenment and he is deeply committed to the application and healing potential of the meditation (mental and spiritual practice) at the heart of Shaolin philosophy and practice.
